Reactions of 100 μl were run without enzyme, without plasma treatment, or with both enzyme
and plasma treatment for 5 min (composition: 0.1 U ml-1 HRP, 5 mM guaiacol, 50 mM KPi pH
6.5). At the indicated time points, samples were withdrawn and absorption was measured at
470 nm. n=3 for the samples with plasma and HRP, n=1 for either HRP or plasma only.
