Plasma Source Name
Plasma Source Specification
Plasma Source Properties
Two stainless steel electrodes with capillary (borosilicate, wall thickness 0.2mm) in between. Distance between the electrodes: 1.4mm. Width of capillary: 4.5mm, width of grounded electrode: 4mm and width of powered electrode: 1mm. Length of electrodes: 40mm. kHz excitation with pulses in the µs range (up to 9kV) or ns range (up to 5kV) were applied or RF excitation was applied at 13.56 MHz (1.5kV). RF was able to be operated in continuous or pulse mode). Repetition frequencies in the range of 2kHz to 6kHz were used.

Plasma Medium Name
Plasma Medium Properties
Flow rate: 1 slm, humidity admixtures: 0 - 6400ppm (0-100% of gas flow through ice cooled bubbler)
Plasma Medium Procedure
Cooling of the bubbler 1h before measurements with 900mL ice cubes and 400mL fridge-cooled water.
Plasma Target Name
Plasma Target Properties
3 mL liquid volume in UV cuvette of ammonium metavandate solution, adjustment of capillary to a distance of 14mm from liquid surface
Plasma Target Procedure
Ammonium metavandate solution preparation: 3.109 mL sulfuric acid (Fisher Chemical, >95%) was used to dissolve 725.26 mg ammonium metavanadate (Thermo Fisher Scientific, 99.5%) with stirring at 50°C. After complete dilution, the solution was diluted with 1 L of distilled water. The final solution had a pH < 3.
Plasma Diagnostic Properties
Absorption spectroscopy with an absorption peak at 450 nm. Light of a laser-driven light source (Energetiq EQ-99 LDLS) and an Avantes spectrometer (Avantes Avaspec-ULS 2049x64 TEC-EVO) were used.
