HiPIMS Dataset

The zip-file contains raw images, processed differential emission images and current-voltage timetraces for HiPIMS.
The files are marked according to the employed filters in spectroscopic notation:
Ar I means Argon neutrals, while Al II means aluminium ions. This corresponds to following filters:

species wavelength [nm] filter width [nm]
Ar I 750 1
Ar II 488 3
Al I 396 3
Al II 560 9

"Current_Voltage" contains discharge current and voltage time traces as .csv

"Images_Head-on" and "Images_Side-on" contain aquired iCCD images for the respective set-up:

  • "pulse-triggered" contains the iCCD images for each filter and unfiltered, with the camera triggered on the discharge pulse, as .spe
  • "spoke-triggered" contains the iCCD images for each filter and unfiltered, each file containing different time delays between spoke detection and image acquisition, as .spe
  • "differential_emission" contains the processed differential emission images for each filter and unfiltered, as .npy

.spe files are Princeton Instruments WinView CCD image format as saved by the Andor iCCD camera used in the study
.npy are created by the Numpy package for Python 3
